Answers to common questions
Does FuturePOS work for both retail and hospitality?
Yes. Retail and hospitality use different front-of-house workflows, but share the same stock, customer, VAT, staff and reporting records underneath.
Can it run more than one outlet?
Yes. Stock is held per outlet, transfers record what is in transit, and reports can be viewed for one outlet or the whole business.
What happens if the internet connection drops?
The POS can keep taking sales locally. Sales are held on the machine and sent up when the connection is back.
How does FuturePOS work with card payments?
FuturePOS can send the payment amount directly to supported integrated terminals and record the result automatically. Current integrations include myPOS, TRUST and Viva Wallet, with more providers coming soon. Card processing and card-data handling remain securely with the payment provider.
Can FuturePOS connect with ecommerce and delivery platforms?
Yes. FuturePOS integrates with WooCommerce, Shopify, Ecwid and Wolt, allowing supported products, prices, orders and stock information to move between connected systems.
Can my accountant use the figures?
Yes. FuturePOS provides accounting exports and can post to QuickBooks Online or Xero. The accounting figures come from the same sales and purchase lines used for the VAT reports.
Can we keep our existing hardware?
In many cases, yes. FuturePOS supports receipt printers, cash drawers, barcode scanners, scales, card terminals and touchscreens. We can review your existing hardware before installation and confirm what can be retained or integrated.
